What Are
Fine Line Tattoos?
Fine Line Tattoos are characterized by delicate thin lines that emphasize the shape and contour of the tattoo. Despite lacking shading and color, fine line tattoos still manage to capture intricate details. These tattoos are created using a small needle configuration of 1 to 3 needles, in contrast to traditional tattoos that use a larger cluster of needles. This technique gives fine line tattoos their minimalist and delicate appearance. We specialize in black and red ink tattoos, ensuring a clean and precise design.
How long will they last?
It's important to note that tattoos on hands and feet may not hold ink as well as other body areas, leading to poor retention and fading over time. Areas like wrists, ankles, hands, feet, and inside the elbow are more prone to ink "blow outs" and fading due to thin skin. I do not offer finger or rib placements, but I do offer other options. It's essential to understand the potential risks and necessary maintenance for the longevity of your tattoo.
Before & After Care
To ensure the best results for your cosmetic tattoo appointment, please refrain from consuming alcohol, caffeine, or any blood-thinning medications within 24 hours beforehand. Neglecting this pre-care advice may lead to increased pain, bleeding, and reduced pigment retention.
After your appointment, a protective film called tagaderm will be applied to your tattoo to shield it from water. It is recommended to keep the tagaderm on for at least 1-3 days. Once removed, wash the tattoo with mild soap and water, then gently pat dry. For the next 10 days, continue to wash the tattoo daily and apply the provided aftercare balm.
A little redness may be seen for several days but should go away within this 10 day window after care.
Pricing
The minimum cost for a fine line tattoo at our shop is $50. Prices are determined by factors such as size, placement, and the time needed to create a custom design or stencil. Each tattoo is priced individually, rather than by the hour.
